Peter Flood graduated Paier College of Art in Hamden Connecticut in 2010 with a Bachelors in Illustration. He currently resides in Providence Rhode Island. He began creating art like most if not all people in the world at a very young age.
“When I first rediscovered is uncertain. In my years attending high school as an ignorant, angry young man it became a way to not only feel better but also attempt to create beauty from nothing. As I’ve grown and come to further understand this world’s rich and chaotic history and contemplated its infinite future, it has become a way to work through and express my thoughts and feelings. While attending college, I allowed myself to drift through different mediums and dynamic subjects. I spent a considerable amount of time researching evolution and admiring the beauty and strength of apes.”
Since college, he has often focused on the country he has grown to love and loathe, USA.
“Especially my fondness of American music and the pioneers who shaped it. The diverse and ever-expanding group of men and women, some of which suffered a great deal and have shined a light on the abuse of people and the world brought on by humans and the laws that we create. I have always admired the musicians who speak words of wisdom and truth of the problems in the world, and try to create some truth in my work.”
